Dog Training/Behavior Modification

Private Clients $60/hr
Foster Dog Clients $25/hr

I offer hour long sessions in the client's home or at an agreed upon location like a park (depending on the issue). I offer both obedience training and positive based behavioral modification for issues like leash reactivity, resource guarding, fearfulness, and etc. The first session will consist of a deep dive of your dog's behavior and needs, and from there we will build a training and management plan together.

I became passionate about dog training shortly after beginning my first job at an animal shelter. I watched some of my favorite adoptable dogs sit for months in their kennels with no interest. Often they were passed on because they were reactive inside their kennel, or they were mouthy, or fearful.  I wanted to learn all I could to make sure all the dogs found their forever homes. I attended Animal Behavior College to become a professional dog trainer. I did my internship hours and training at Anything Goes... for Dogs! in Marysville, OH.

I spent five years teaching volunteers and fosters how to work with shelter animals and improve their behavior and well being.  I loved shelter work, but it was frustrating to see the dogs surrendered for problems that could be resolved with a little work.  I decided to become a full time dog trainer so that I could help dogs stay in their homes. By working closely with the owner and their dog, most problems can be resolved or more appropriately managed.  I also enjoy working closely with several local rescues and their fosters.
